Originally, I was thinking about using this book I recently stumbled upon and am still not finished reading, for the article for Resilience 2:1 next Newsletter in a combination of Usage of AI related to the climate crisis. I now think that it will be better if we are all prepared for what this book is warning us to.
There is an Apache saying, “We do not inherit the land from ancestors; we borrow it from our children,” [p69].

One of the most important issues discussed are Three Pathways for our Civilizations; Transformation, Reform and Breakdown. Evidence for the globalized civilization grows by the day. Melting ice caps, devastating wildfires, disappearing species, water shortages. Ecological warning signs are there that we are crossing critical boundaries of earth system stability that will send us over dangerous tipping points. [p132].
