Course is in its first run in this past term at Humber College

Thank you for making and teaching this course! Its super important to learn about this stuff and I wish it was emphasized more in school. I hope this course can keep running in the school years to come.

Its been really enjoyable learning about the impact we have on the world and that it doesn’t mean we’re going to disaster. We have a chance to change, and we have the power to adapt.

I just wanted to say thank you for the class, I wish I had the opportunity to take it sooner! It’s a shame we couldn’t finish the semester but I’m grateful that we finally had the opportunity to take a class like this, I wish it was a requirement for my program.

Thanks again for all of your passion, wisdom and encouragement.

Thank you for the semester! I really enjoyed learning from a teacher who is as passionate about their subject as you are. I never had the opportunity to study climate change before and it was a real eye opener. I admire that you live by what you preach! The conversation of climate change has been opened and I hope to continue the dialogue.

During the course students also commented that studying the topic was good for their mental health despite my ongoing concern that more knowledge would stress them. And they advocated that sustainability and resilience be more present in all their programs, in fact, to be stressed in every class.

I was struck by their hopefulness and passion for justice along with, for some of them, a newly awakened attachment to the environment.
